About My Clients
Having been trained from a person-centered approach, I wholeheartedly believe that you are the expert of your life. My aim is to help you create the necessary changes while providing safety and connection in a collaborative relationship. I am invested in your recovery and my interest lies in helping clearly identify and express your hopes and values, which may have become lost amidst life's struggles. There is hope and you no longer need to struggle alone.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed and board-certified psychotherapist. My primary focus throughout my career has been on the treatment of eating disorders, body image issues, and trauma. I am an eating disorder specialist, certified clinical trauma professional and an approved EMDR therapist. Throughout my career, I have served in a variety of roles ranging from primary therapist to most recently assistant director at one of the nation's top eating disorder and mental health treatment center. I've worked with clients at various levels of care including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient. My style is validating, authentic, interactive, supportive, and direct. I practice utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, Interpersonal therapy, motivational interviewing and EMDR. I work from a strength-based and relational style.
