My Background and Approach
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to counseling. The goal of a session with me is to create a collaborative , shame free space , where mistakes and the messes of life are welcomed. A place where you don't feel the pressures to be perfect or to just move on , but rather a space where you can grow with and get comfortable with the discomforts of life. My approach is to provide you with the tools to be the person you truly are, not who or how others expect you to be. If you are looking for a space that will challenge you into growth while still keeping your lived experience, background, and goals at the forefront, I may be the person for you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I understand how it feels to be seen or treated as othered. Healing from loss, overcoming challenges, and going through transitional phases in life are not linear experiences and I don't expect you to fit within a set pathway to your authentic self. Just as you are human, I am too. I will show up to any interaction as my authentic self: someone who's affirming yet not afraid to work through behaviors that are no longer serving your best interests, someone who loves to laugh but doesn't shy away during tough conversations, and someone who celebrate your wins and but not turn their back when life gets challenging.
