About My Clients
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents. Whether it is working through conflict, helping to develop skills for dealing with anxiety or depression, or deepening understanding of how emotions impact us, I am honored to be able to walk alongside people as they work through difficult seasons in life. I love for working with women as they navigate relationships, motherhood, and transitions. I also work with people healing from trauma, using EMDR as a tool for healing.
My Background and Approach
I’m a National Certified Counselor. I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies from the University of Oklahoma. I work primarily from a person-centered therapy framework, using techniques from cognitive behavioral, existential, and narrative therapies. I am also certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and trained in EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) therapies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In my personal life, I love spending time with my family - my husband and three children are the joys of my life. I also enjoy lots of hobbies, including baking, reading, hiking, exploring new places, hanging out with friends and various artistic pursuits.
