About My Clients
Throughout my 20 year career as a social worker, I have worked with many types of clients. Children in foster care and adults that were previously in foster care Persons experiencing grief for a loved one(s) Persons with chronic illness such as ESRD, Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Crohn's Disease, etc Persons diagnosed with mood disorders such as Bipolar, Anxiety, Major Depressive disorder Persons experiencing psychotic disorders such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar w/ psych features
My Background and Approach
I obtained my BSW at Anderson University in 2003 I obtained my MSW at Indiana University a year later in 2004, completing the advanced standing program. I have been in and around social work my entire life so it was an easy decision for me to be a social worker in my career. I am a former foster youth, however, I consider that as a part of who I am and not what defines me as a person. I've lived in 3 states, California, Indiana and Florida. I've been practicing as a licensed clinical social worker in FL since 2011.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in being your authentic self, always. I offer a safe space where you can say what you want to say and feel how you need to feel. I am an LGBTQ+ ally. I welcome all ethnicities. I welcome all religious backgrounds or those who don't believe in religion at all. I welcome persons of all shapes and sizes. Just BE YOU
