About My Clients
I am currently practicing remotely via telehealth, but have limited availability for in-person sessions (San Dimas, CA). Clients that tend to feel most comfortable with me are often able to connect or feel acceptance based on one of the following: LGBTQIA+ - Millenials - Gen Z - Liberals - Self Critics - Students - Potty Mouths - Sex - Use of Humor - Sensitive Hearts. My Background and Approach
I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) in CA. I have been a social worker for 5 years in which I mainly provide support to low-income families and students experiencing homelessness. Currently, I work for a school district and conduct private practice therapy sessions part-time. My therapy style is pretty laid back- I'm all for layman's terms! I like to focus on your strengths and help you maximize them to overcome obstacles. I think exploring your past experiences and discovering together how they may be impacting your current situations can be so helpful in getting you where you want to be. Although I'm not here to give you advice or change you, I am here to help sort through difficult things, gain insight, and offer you a safe place to be open. I will provide empathic and non-judgmental support to help guide you to your own choices.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I genuinely believe in the good of each person. I believe we're all doing our best with the tools we have and I value the time and space to help you learn more tools for your journey. I do not claim to be an all-knowing therapist who can fix all of your problems. Rather, I'll offer insight and ignite reflection. I think spirituality can be a great thing for some people, but I'm not a religious person. If you're looking for therapy through a religious lens, I'm not the person for you. I feel it is important to also mention my passion for the LGBTQIA+ community. As a queer person myself, I value this community so deeply and feel honored each and every time I get to create a safe space for anyone within the community. I'm also a big advocate for human rights, feminism, and the BLM movement.
