About My Clients
I am not currently accepting new clients. Experiencing constant worry or overthinking? Feeling anxious or overwhelmed for no reason? I currently provide individual therapy via video visits to adults 18+ experiencing anxiety. I am trained as a generalist, which means I have experiencing working with all types of disorders, situations, people, and ages. I greatly enjoy helping individuals reduce anxiety/stress, make life changes, and improve overall mental/physical health concerns.
My Background and Approach
I have been fortunate enough to work in a variety of different settings, such as: several primary care doctors’ offices, a state psychiatric hospital, a VA hospital, a college psychology clinic, a private practice, and several community mental health centers. These experiences, especially working closely with medical doctors for many years, has greatly expanded my knowledge and ability to help others understand overall wellness, especially the mind-body connection (how our mind/mental aspect impacts physical body/medical issues). Through my extensive training, I have learned to integrate various evidence based therapy interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), motivational techniques, humanistic approach, trauma-informed techniques, and mindfulness/meditation to depending on your unique needs/desires and personality.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people have the capacity to health themselves, although they sometimes need a little help along the way. As humans, we are social creatures and greatly benefit from having the support of others (our tribe) in order to heal, thrive, and become successful.
