About My Clients

Are you struggling with excessive worry thoughts, low mood or unexpected rage? Are you trying to parent in a gentle and responsive manner, but your own emotions or past trauma are making it hard? Have you been trying to grow your family, but are feeling stuck due to pregnancy loss or fertility challenges? I see you, and you are not alone. My primary focus is helping women who are trying to find balance and peace after experiencing trauma, life transitions, unhealthy relationships, or loss/grief.

My Background and Approach

I strive to provide a safe, non-judgemental space for you to identify and share thoughts, feelings, and needs. We'll learn and practice new skills to manage the barriers that keep you from reaching your goals. My tool box is filled with a variety of techniques to use based on your needs. I always try to maintain a strengths based, trauma-sensitive, client-centered therapy. We will identify how your past impacts your current state, but will try to remain present and solution focused in sessions. I will meet you where you are, and as needed provide education on skills for areas such as: managing emotions, self-care, expressing needs/building healthy relationships, and navigating trauma reactions. I focus on holistic wellness – caring for the whole person in the context of the environment, mind, body and spirit. Art, journaling, yoga, meditation, nutrition and sleep education are examples of a handful of the tools I have used with past clients.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe: Everyone is doing the best they can with the tools they have. We all have the potential to learn and do better. Everyone deserves to be seen, heard, treated with respect and loved, no matter how they identify. Parents and those struggling to become parents need more support - parenting and the journey to it is hard, there is no one-size-fits all handbook, and everyone's journey may look a little different.
