About My Clients
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals, but I feel especially connected to helping adults who are navigating trauma—whether it stems from childhood experiences, difficult relationships, or major life transitions. I also have also worked with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, difficulty regulating emotions, communication challenges, and anger.
My Background and Approach
My name is Sarab Saraswati Khalsa, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Arizona, offering telehealth sessions to adults seeking support and healing. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Fort Lewis College and went on to complete a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling here in Arizona. My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to your needs, including EMDR, inner child work, DBT, mindfulness, CBT, strengths-based therapy, expressive arts, and traditional talk therapy. I’ve found that therapy works best when it’s flexible and creative, using a blend of techniques we discover and shape together based on what resonates with you. If you’re not sure what type of therapy is right for you—that’s okay. We’ll figure it out together, at your pace.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy works best as a true partnership—where you're seen, heard, and supported, and where both therapist and client work together to create meaningful change. I also believe healing takes time. Therapy isn't a race—it's a gradual, evolving process. One day, you may look back and be surprised by how far you've come. I primarily work with trauma, a broad term that encompasses many experiences. I aim to create a non-judgmental space that honors your natural responses to difficult events. I see my clients not as people with "problems," but as people growing through pain. I'm passionate about shifting the conversation around trauma, mental health, and diagnosis—removing shame and making space for understanding, resilience, and self-compassion.
