My Background and Approach
I specialize in mental health and substance abuse with a focus on helping individuals navigate life's most challenging moments. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients reframe unhelpful thought patterns, empowering them to create meaningful, lasting changes in their lives. I look forward to the opportunity to walk alongside you on your journey toward emotional well-being and resilience. I am known for my warm, compassionate, and interactive counseling style, and am dedicated to truly listening to my clients and meeting them where they are. Clients often express appreciation for my straightforward and honest approach, frequently noting, "You tell it like it is, Sara. That is why I like working with you."
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Outside of my professional life, I am the mother of two adult children, a Great Dane named Paris and a cat named Freddie. I enjoy cooking, socializing with friends and family, practicing yoga, walking, attending live music events, being outdoors, and volunteering at the Great Dane Rescue of South Florida.
