About My Clients
Are you feeling weighed down by stress, anxiety, depression, or life’s expectations? Are you feeling stuck? Are you ready and motivated to make a change? Congratulations on making that first step! Life can be difficult, and there is no shame in getting help. Sometimes, it takes a fresh pair of eyes and ears to help you gain insight and get you to that “Aha!” moment. My goal is to help by making you feel understood, accepted, and supported while challenged at the same time.
My Background and Approach
Sara has been working in the helping field since 2014 and focuses on serving adult clients ages 18+ struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, and communication issues. She works best with folks who are motivated to learn new skills to improve their lives and relationships. Sara's professional background includes crisis intervention, case management, community mental health, and private practice. She is also Brainspotting Certified and has attended trainings in Phases 1, 2, 3, and 4. Sara has been described by her friends and clients as warm, supportive, and humorous. If you think of therapeutic approaches like an outfit, Sara will help design an outfit based on your needs and where you are. So even though Sara may begin with one approach, she might mix-and-match according to what is best for you. Currently offering telehealth for Maryland residents and limited in person sessions at the Baltimore City office.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Sara believes that growth and recovery are possible and that you don't have to go through it alone. Her goal and hope are that you feel better than where you started. Sara welcomes individuals of all faiths and backgrounds and is LBGTQ+ affirming.
