About My Clients

I work with adolescents & adults to help them identify their values and goals and take steps based on their own judgment & desires. I use mindfulness and somatics to encourage embodied connection, and narrative and solution-focused approaches to help identify strengths. I also love to take counseling outside to experience the healing benefits of nature!

My Background and Approach

Usually, when someone comes to therapy, it’s because they’re at a crossroads– you might find yourself asking – do I keep going down this familiar, but bumpy road or brave a new path, a new adventure? I believe we all have an innate drive toward health and healing, and given the right circumstances and conditions, we are all capable of positive change. When it comes to your life, I am not the expert. But I am willing to walk alongside you on a journey to choose something new. So, now I ask you- Is there space to create a new path? Owning our individual stories is a powerful first step in creating positive change. The stories we tell ourselves influence how we feel about ourselves and the world we exist within; but sometimes influences from our social spheres, family system, and culture can leave us feeling isolated and unworthy. My role in therapy is to ask the questions that allow individuals to connect to their own internal wisdom. Let’s build your new path!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My life as a writer taught me to examine stories and look for context within them. As a therapist, I believe the stories we tell ourselves shape the world we live in. The therapeutic relationship can examine how life within the context of our social spheres and the culture we live in is impacting our sense of self. As both a member of and an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, I’m well aware of how scarce trustworthy spaces can be. At the same time, people within this community, particularly QTPOC are at disproportionate risk for issues related to poor mental health connected to social stigma. These barriers to care can getting help feel impossible and scary. I will always be committed to providing a nurturing and supportive space that fosters authenticity and self-acceptance.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
