About My Clients
As someone who has recently moved through the higher education system, I know what it's like to be in a room or classroom full of people and feel like I don't belong. It can be overwhelming and scary to say the least. As a therapist it is my goal to be able to assist clients with life transitions and help them navigate what their new environment has to offer.
My Background and Approach
Being a first generation college student has given me plenty of experience navigating and trying to understand a world in which I did not feel equipped to handle. I have been in situations in which I felt as though I was unprepared and would ultimately fail. Knowing all of this I aim to assistant college students in finding their footing and giving them the support that they need to be successful. As a therapist I will use my background knowledge of higher education as well as a therapeutic approach of solution focused therapy to help identify the problems or concerns at hand and work with you to develop a solution to the problem.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
People down to their core are able to achieve anything. As a therapist I believe that no matter where someone is in their life's journey there is always space for self improvement and self healing. Life can be crazy sometimes and having a therapist or person to turn too during difficult times can make all the difference. No matter what stage in life someone is in, there is always time for yourself.
