About My Clients
Do you wake up feeling anxious? Do you often feel frozen in a social situation? I help people feel less anxious in their daily routines and their relationships. We will work together in a safe space to reduce the physically and emotionally feelings anxiety can trigger. I will provide concrete tools and techniques in session to help relieve these overwhelming feelings. We will work collaboratively to implement these skills in your everyday life.
My Background and Approach
My passion is working with adults through tough life stages (i.e., transitional aged youth 18-25, parents raising children, caregiving, and end of life). I specialize treating anxiety, self-harm, suicidal ideations, depression, binge eating, substance abuse, and grief. I am trained in the application of Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I practice an array of therapeutic techniques including tenets of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, mindfulness, and grief therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I grew up in a home that appeared "picture perfect". As a child, I felt lonely and I never knew why. As an adult, I have realized the lack of love and support that was missing in my early years. I became a therapist to help others gain what I was missing.
