About My Clients
I specialize in working with individuals navigating grief, trauma, and systemic oppression. My ideal clients are those feeling stuck, burned out, or overwhelmed, who want a collaborative space to be seen and supported without judgment. I’m especially drawn to clients facing life transitions, compassion fatigue, or disconnection from their values, and I offer care that’s LGBTQIA+ affirming, culturally humble, and rooted in harm reduction and relational approaches.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker with a background in mental health and substance use, trained at University of Texas at Arlington and proudly rooted in my undergrad years at Tarleton State (Go Texans, Bleed Purple!). My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in cultural humility and social justice. I draw from REBT, narrative therapy, DBT, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction to create affirming, collaborative spaces for healing. I'm especially passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ clients, medical and veterinary professionals, and those navigating grief, burnout, identity, or religious trauma. I meet clients where they are, offering warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for their lived experience. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and empowering—a place to reconnect with your values, explore your story, challenge oppressive narratives, and move forward with clarity, intention, and a renewed sense of self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens in relationship—when people feel seen, heard, and safe to show up as their full selves. I’m passionate about social justice, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and challenging systems that cause harm, especially those rooted in religious trauma. I believe our personal and collective histories are roadmaps, guiding how we grow forward. I'm a strong advocate for our ethical and moral responsibility to both society and our cultures. Our communities shape us—and fulfillment often comes from cultivating strong, well-rounded circles, even if they’re small. I value mutual aid, creative expression, and authentic connection, and I hold deep respect for each person’s capacity for self-determination, growth, and openness. One of my core beliefs is that our morals are not absolute truths—but we should aim to live in a way that lets us sleep with a clear conscious. In my personal life, I find joy in advocacy, gardening, music, laughter, and time with the people who make life feel whole.
