About My Clients
Historically, my clients are people who are experiencing any of the following- life transitions, grief & loss (death & non-death losses), feeling overwhelmed by life or feeling stuck, anxiety & depression, family stressors, parenting stress & feeling overwhelmed, relationship challenges and trauma. My clients are seeking a supportive space to feel heard, seen and validated and are motivated to do the therapeutic work. Therapy is a space to gain understanding of yourself & learn new ways to cope.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic work is eclectic and blends a variety of treatment modalities including -psychodynamic, relational, Internal Family Systems (IFS, Level 1 Trained), mindfulness, CBT and I incorporate different grief theories and practices. I am a grief-informed practitioner and have completed multiple professional trainings. I have been in private practice since 2012 and my previous experience includes several years of working in community mental health (outpatient & in-home work) and as a school counselor. In addition to bringing my professional experiences, I also bring my lived experience of grief & loss, as well as my warmth, humor, natural curiosity and interest into the therapeutic relationship.
