About My Clients
Change is super scary. It can be isolating and anxiety provoking, and sometimes plain old depressing! You might feel like you are constantly in flux or a state of transition. These transitions seem to be continuous, at times exhausting, and adapting to change or evolving in the process is an area that is often overlooked in terms of support needs. You deserve a sense of validation and understanding of your emotional experiences no matter where you are on whatever your journey might be.
My Background and Approach
My area of expertise largely highlights the therapeutic relationship and the simplistic importance of connecting with another human being. My experience is such that there doesn't need to be a ton of bells and whistles in the therapeutic work. More simply, I am passionate about the benefits of connection with another and a safe space of validation where you are free to be your authentic self without fear of judgement can be just as powerful. I work from a a compassion based, mindfulness, and developmental perspective to meet you exactly where you are and to support you in where you need to go. At times, I employ techniques informed by DBT or CBT that will align best your strengths on your journey. I believe in supporting and exploring the organization of our thoughts and feelings to more gently understand the information that will lead us to live our best lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we are typically moving into and out of in a state of growth-- whether we recognize it or not! Sometimes along the way, we get stuck. Support is needed for both times of movement and stagnation. Mental health is so important and we do not have to remain in state of suffering. We all deserve to feel capable, healthy, strong, and amazing. I enjoy working with humans from all walks of life and love learning about our different and shared experiences. I love the color green, believe deeply in the power of movement and wellness, and love being able to support others on their journeys of exploration.
