About My Clients
I have prior therapy experience in Texas and Maryland, where I worked in various community mental health clinics serving every background and presenting issue. After moving to Illinois, I worked for private practices in Chicago, serving mostly couples before starting my own couple’s clinic. Currently, I see couples of all backgrounds and types of relationships. I have experience in diverse and non-traditional relationships such as: open, ethically non-monogamous, or poly.
My Background and Approach
Utilizing eclectic approaches including evidenced-based Gottman techniques and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) concepts, I help couples by fostering communication, managing conflict, and rebuilding the foundations of friendship that are vital to the success of any relationship. I have completed Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I will meet the needs of the couple by employing any necessary theoretical techniques or relationship approaches to help clients reach their goals. My philosophy in therapy is that I believe humility and authenticity are at the core of life successes and I encourage clients to challenge their perspective while reaching for a higher level of existence. I am inclusive to all human beings regardless of who they are, or what they are going through, and approach all presenting life situations with an open mind.
