I am so grateful that you're here. Each person enters times in their lives where they benefit from support. Personal transitions, loss, stress, toxic relationships, pandemics...lots of things happen that make us feel out of control or helpless. We often experience these traumas while still reliving patterns from the past, making it hard to see a way through. My Background and Approach
I use an eclectic approach to therapy that integrates relational, humanistic, and psychodynamic theories while utilizing some mindfulness, meditation, and psychoeducation techniques and upholding a trauma-informed, intersectional-feminist lens. Okay wow, that was a lot of jargon and a run-on sentence. To put it simply: I aim to always provide a safe, nonjudgemental environment with the hope of making it easier for us to explore difficulties, navigate emotional disturbances, and identify patterns from the past to the present. Using warmth, humor and compassion, I enjoy building a therapeutic relationship that can withstand challenge, directness, and the never-ending oppressive systems that we encounter in life daily. I genuinely find humans interesting and am perpetually humbled and impressed by their resilience and tenacity.
