About My Clients

I am particularly passionate about helping my clients heal intergenerational trauma through individual work with adults who have experienced childhood abuse and neglect, have attachment-related challenges, and/or are struggling in their relationships to themselves and others. I also love working with parents who are ready to make changes in the way they parent and relate to their children. My focus areas include generalized anxiety, depression, grief, anger/stress management, and family issues.

My Background and Approach

My approach to therapy is warm, supportive, and curious. I am here to help you identify patterns and habits that are no longer serving you and discover new things to try to help you thrive. I use a blend of treatment models for your individual needs, because therapy should not be one size fits all! Some treatment models I often draw from include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused-Therapy (CFT), and attachment theory. During our first few sessions, I take time to understand which concerns are your priority to work through in therapy and collaborate with you to make a plan to address them.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that the health of our closest relationships are a strong predictor of our emotional health. That includes the relationship with ourselves. I also believe that with support, we can heal from trauma, difficult family relationships, and strained attachment. I am passionate about helping others heal from difficult life experiences because I truly believe that individual well-being contributes positively to community well-being. I am also a strong believer in accessible, affordable mental health care and it is one of the reasons I entered this field. I have lived experience with reproductive-related mental health challenges, infertility, assisted reproductive technology (e.g. IVF), and pregnancy loss. I am involved in advocacy for this community and passionate about effective mental healthcare for this community.
