I enjoy working with people who are seeking new and different ways to live their most authentic lives. You may feel lost or in the dark right now about how to solve your problem or change your path. You may be struggling with your relationships with others or perhaps even your relationship with yourself. My Background and Approach
I used to be a teacher. I always loved doing parent-teacher conferences leading me to realize that I wanted to engage in the deeper work of family therapy. When working with families, I focus on the family's phase of life and consider how the family is adjusting to the transition from one phase to another. My first priority is to get to know everyone in the family and understand their important roles and the gifts that each member brings to the family. With couples, I take a collaborative approach to explore the couple that you want to be. I believe that each individual in the couple must have a strong sense of self and individuality in order to be able to engage in a healthy intimate relationship. I also enjoy working with individuals dealing with life transitions, grief, identity issues, anxiety and depression, complicated PTSD, and generational and spiritual trauma. You are the expert of your life. My approach is person-centered and empathic.
