About My Clients

I am passionate about working with teenagers and adults that are wanting to manage anxiety, social anxiety, depression, self-harm, relationships, break-ups, phase-of-life challenges, people-pleasers, attachment wounds, and self-esteem. I provide an individualized, strength-based, and collaborative approach to therapy. I help individuals acknowledge what they are doing successfully and help fine-tune areas of growth.

My Background and Approach

I previously worked for two years in residential treatment for adolescents where I learned to help individuals manage crises such as suicidality and self-harm. I also worked as an equine-assisted therapist and know the transformative experience being around animals and in nature. I have worked in school-based settings and most recently worked with teenagers and young adults at Pepperdine University. I believe it is important to honor each individual’s experiences and provide mental health interventions utilizing an integrative model based on unique client needs. I draw upon therapies including psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, solution-focused, mindfulness, and integrative somatic therapy.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

At a young age, I felt drawn to be an advocate for other beings, for the smallest of creatures like worms and snails, and the quieter children in school. My curiosity to learn beyond my own perspective has inspired me to travel. Through my experiences, I have gained greater respect and appreciation for other ways of life, and human resilience, and it continues to deepen my empathy. I truly believe that everyone is doing the best they can given their circumstances. I am passionate about guiding and supporting individuals to hone in on their strengths, navigate the stressors of life, and live mindfully to reach their full potential. I am passionate about de-stigmatizing and normalizing therapy as well as mental health challenges. I am also interested in working with individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+ and am LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist. In my free time, I enjoy being in nature, dancing, being around animals, and spending time with friends, family, and my cat.
