About My Clients
My clients come from a diverse background, including adults who have experienced childhood trauma, adults with depression, anxiety, and Bipolar disorder, adults and children who are experiencing grief, and adults who are in a caregiving role. I also enjoy working with children who have learning and behavioral difficulties, and their families. It is important to me that I am able to provide support to individuals and families who might experience financial barriers to receiving counseling.
My Background and Approach
I started my career as a social worker, working in a nursing home, working with the residents and their families as they adjusted to the major life change and navigating their grief. While, I have continued to work with the aging community and their families, I have also worked in schools with special education, adult protective services and child welfare. I am experienced in grief counseling, trauma counseling, family counseling, and case management.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone that everyone regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, or socioeconomic status, deserves access to quality mental health services and I understand that personal or cultural experiences make it difficult to seek or accept mental health services. Open communication about any concerns you might have about therapy will help me to provide you with the best care possible.
