My Background and Approach
Sara Gottfried, a graduate of Bridgewater State University and Boston University, is a practicing social worker, with diverse experience in a variety of settings, including group homes, residential programs, schools, and the Department of Children and Families. She has a passion for working with children and families and utilizes an empathetic, strengths-based and trauma-focused approach. Sara is a full-time school social worker and was previously a clinician at a therapeutic residential program for adolescent girls experiencing complex trauma. Sara uses a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy to meet clients where they are to make sustainable and empowering changes.
