About My Clients
Many of my clients struggle with stress and anxiety. Whether it is managing stress, panic attacks, or social anxiety, I help clients identify tools that create both immediate and long term impact. Many of my clients feel their emotions strongly or are considered highly sensitive people. I love helping them love themselves more and boost their self-esteem. Additionally, I specialize in working with the LGBTQIA community, particularly teens and young adults.
My Background and Approach
My clinical approach is eclectic, blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). As a yoga teacher, I believe strongly in the mind-body connection. I frequently incorporate yoga and meditation in my practice. Recently, I have begun using Energy Psychology and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) as a way to help clients relieve emotional distress and feel more grounded. Most importantly, I meet my clients where they are at to find the approach that works best for them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that there are no "good" or "bad" people. I believe that we are all just people, doing our best. I feel the goal of counseling is to have more compassion for yourself and the rest of the world. Progress is a process, so try to be patient with yourself and your healing.
