About My Clients
I work with teens and adults up to age 50 who may be navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, school-related challenges, oppositional behaviors, divorce, or changes within their family and relationships. I recognize that no two people—or situations—are exactly alike, so I take a person-centered and individualized approach to therapy.
My Background and Approach
Before transitioning into private practice, I spent three years working as a school counselor, where I supported students and families through a wide range of academic, emotional, behavioral, and personal challenges. This experience gave me the opportunity to work closely with families during times of crisis, helping them navigate difficult circumstances while connecting them with resources, developing support plans, and providing a steady source of guidance and compassion. My experience in the school setting also deepened my understanding of the many factors that can affect a young person's emotional well-being, including family dynamics, school pressures, relationships, and major life changes.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strive to be warm, open, inclusive, and culturally affirming. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and therapy is a collaborative process. I want you to feel comfortable bringing your whole self into the room—without fear of judgment or having to fit into a particular mold. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, navigating a crisis or major life transition, experiencing challenges at school or home, or wanting to better understand yourself and your relationships, you don't have to figure it all out alone. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you can be authentically yourself, feel supported and understood, and build the skills, confidence, and insight to move forward in a way that feels meaningful to you.
