My goal is to create a warm and non-judgmental space where you feel completely accepted, just as you are. As someone who understands what it's like to be a minority, I deeply appreciate and value the diversity of your story and background. Your story matters, and I’m here to listen, understand, and walk with you through it, while providing a safe space where you can truly be yourself.
My Background and Approach
We’ll bring in a few corny jokes while using DBT to help you build skills for navigating life's challenges and emotions effectively, as well as EMDR. EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps people process traumatic and other distressing experiences. As we process past memories and their emotional intensity decreases, we end up experiencing more clarity, capability, and a greater sense of control to make choices that align with the values, life, and relationships we want. Together, we’ll work on creating a life that is truly meaningful and fulfilling.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Just know if you've decided to start therapy, you've already taken a difficult step toward your healing process. I truly believe that our scars can guide us toward discovering our deepest strengths, confidence, and who we are at our core.
