About My Clients
I enjoy working with clients of all ages, but especially those who are adolescents and those who are young at heart. I work with individuals thought out all of life's trials and tribulations to help provide the tools they need to reach their goals. I specialize in working with those who have addiction and substance use disorders.
My Background and Approach
I have been working in and around the mental health field for almost two decades. I have worked in correctional facilities, community mental health, medical hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, and in emergency rooms. I ensure my client understand that, I have witnessed most facets and problems of life. This is used to help them so they dont feel that they are ever alone or possibly have feelings of shame or guilt or embarrassment when talking about sensitive topics. I am a direct solutions based cognitive behavior therapist. What this means for my clients is that we will work on setting a goal and work towards meeting that goal. And during that path I will help provide you tools to assist with sympto.s reduction during that process. I am a direct therapist I am the therapist that will give you direct feedback, even if sometimes it is hard to hear. And I am the therapist that uses humor and levity during my sessions to help get through the difficult moments.
