About My Clients
I work with teens and adults of all ages. As a former teacher, I have multi-faceted experience with topics such as ADHD, neurodiversity, peer relationships, identity development, and stress management. I provide support through various life transitions and as they reflect on how the past informs the present.
My Background and Approach
I am a warm and compassionate therapist with training in a range of techniques to support diverse client needs. I aim to create a safe, accepting space for growth, healing, curiosity, and problem-solving. In my work, I place a high value on helping clients build self-awareness with attention to balance and wellness. I take a strengths-based approach and encourage exploration of both the past and the present. My community mental health work has offered wonderful training in DBT, CBT, ACT and trauma-informed therapy. Treatment is individualized, depending on client goals and priorities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I embrace a growth mindset in both my work and personal life. Some of the social work values that resonate most are social justice, dignity and worth of the individual, and the importance of human relationships. I am passionate about human rights, active anti-racism, sustainable living, the arts, and voter protections. I welcome potential clients to reach out with any questions and/or to set up a phone consult. I would be happy to discuss if I might be a good fit for your needs and to try to identify resources if I can't assist.
