About My Clients
I have experience working with clients who have experienced traumas and how trauma response show up in their relationships. I help clients that have been surviving intense emotions and still feeling defeated or unworthy. A common pattern my clients appear stuck in at first are not noticing how they talk to themselves in an unhelpful way while also feeling trapped in shame. In our work together, we will help you notice yourself to finally integrate what you need and how to balance your emotions.
My Background and Approach
I received my Master's in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I have continued my education and training in sex therapy where I help individuals and couples talk about sex and achieve intimacy. In my trauma training, I utilize EMDR to help individuals reprocess unresolved emotions that keep resurfacing. "I like to model and show my authentic self when we meet. I truly value creating a space where you can experience being yourself and feeling safe doing so. My style is warm and direct as I will share my reflections and observations during our sessions. We will be curious, laugh, and sometimes cry!"
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that humans are capable of healing and have the ability to do so when safe. I find irony in the way that we grow up and have more exposure to unsafe situations but also have less compassion and insight towards our reactions. This is where shame takes over and connection feels impossible and overwhelming. I make it my mission for clients to feel their pain is heard and seen by me as a way to finally feel without defense.
