About My Clients
My clients are individuals who are overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or navigating life transitions. Many struggle with depression, relationship stress, trauma, or feeling disconnected from themselves. They’re often high-functioning on the outside but feel stuck or heavy inside. They’re ready to slow down, reflect, and grow, even if they don’t know where to start.
My Background and Approach
I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern and the founder of Dear You Counseling. I provide culturally sensitive, faith-informed therapy rooted in compassion, collaboration, and emotional safety. My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and person-centered care. I tailor therapy to each client’s pace, honoring their lived experiences, values, and identity. Sessions are not about fixing you. They’re about helping you better understand yourself, develop healthier coping tools, and feel more grounded and empowered in your daily life. Therapy can be for healing, growth, or maintenance, not just crisis.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should feel human, warm, and affirming. You don’t need to have the “right words” or everything figured out to begin. I believe healing looks different for everyone and that progress can be quiet, slow, and still meaningful. Dear You, your story deserves to be heard without judgment. Faith, culture, and personal values can be powerful sources of resilience when honored appropriately. You are not expected to carry everything alone. My role is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself, build clarity, and move toward the life you want with intention and care.
