About My Clients
I work with women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting while also living with Autism, ADHD, or sensory overwhelm. Some are exploring whether they might be neurodivergent; others already know and are exhausted from masking or trying to meet impossible expectations. My clients often feel anxious, overstimulated, or isolated and come to therapy wanting a place where they don’t have to explain themselves.
My Background and Approach
I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and somatic practices, but I use plain language instead of jargon. Therapy with me is collaborative: you bring your lived experience, and I bring steadiness, curiosity, and evidence-based tools. We’ll focus on what actually works for you day to day, such as easing decision fatigue, calming your nervous system, creating sustainable routines, and softening self-criticism. My work is grounded in self-compassion and a neurodivergent-affirming lens. I don’t believe in pathologizing your brain or body; instead, I help you work with them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe there is no single “right” way to heal, mother, or live. Neurodivergence is not a flaw to fix but another form of wisdom. I chose the name Otherwise Counseling because healing often looks “otherwise”: slower, softer, and more aligned with who you are. The moth in my logo combines symbols of transformation, quiet resilience, and hidden beauty. For me, it represents following your own light, even when the world feels dark or overwhelming. I believe therapy should be a place where you can lay down the weight of perfection and begin to trust your own way forward.
