About My Clients
I believe change begins with safety. I build strong therapeutic relationships rooted in trust and cultural humility. I don’t force change, I offer a steady, attuned presence so you can explore at your own pace. My role is to walk beside you, helping you feel seen, supported, and empowered to make authentic, lasting shifts. Therapy with me is collaborative, trauma-informed, gender responsive, with eclectic modalities, shaped by your vibe-and yes, humor is welcome because sometimes it's healing!
My Background and Approach
My clinical approach includes Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MB-CBT), which means that I integrate cognitive restructuring with present-moment awareness. With MB-CBT, one can learn to identify and reframe maladaptive or unhelpful thought patterns while developing mindfulness skills that enhance emotional regulation and distress tolerance. This approach supports long-term change by strengthening cognitive flexibility and reducing reactivity. I believe that your thoughts affect your feelings, your feelings affect your behaviors and vice-versa. I integrate Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and somatic approaches to support trauma recovery. This includes cognitive restructuring of trauma-related beliefs, body-based awareness practices to regulate distress, and psychoeducation to help you understand symptoms in the context of your lived experience. Together, we make meaning of what you’ve been through and work to reshape your narrative to move forward.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person holds the innate capacity to heal, grow, and reclaim their story. Change doesn’t have to be dramatic or perfect; it begins with small, self-honoring steps. Through intentional shifts in thought and behavior, we can reshape how we feel, how we show up, and how we move through the world. Through learned helpful coping skills, mindfulness, and psychoeducation about what you may be experiencing, you have the ability to gain confidence over somatic symptoms and unhelpful thoughts or feelings. Healing is not about erasing the past, but about rewriting the narrative in a way that feels more true or more empowering, and more aligned with who you are becoming. You deserve to feel safe in your own story, to make choices that support your well-being, authenticity, and to move forward with hope. Sustainable change is possible and it starts with you showing up for you, today.
