About My Clients
Therapy is a feeling of vulnerability and sometimes feeling empowered. Some days sessions might feel light and other days they might be heavy. Be kind to yourself, lean into process. You might feel a little tender in and out of therapy: it is a journey, surround yourself with people and things that support you.
My Background and Approach
My goal for you is to learn and implement skills that you can carry with you at all times. So that you can access when needed. We'll work collaboratively to address experiences that are bothering you right now. We'll start with what's going on in the moment and how to get control over your body and thoughts. For the past 5 years my practice has been focused on helping people to become their most authentic self. I have attended trainings that teach leading edge techniques. We'll address what's going on in your brain when you feel anxious and how to get in touch My approach to helping you achieve your therapeutic goals include person centered, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution focused techniques.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone wants to be the best authentic self. I believe that we are all capable of achieving this goal. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way.
