About My Clients
Drawing on my extensive experience as a school psychologist, I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, families, and neurodivergent individuals, helping navigate complex educational systems. Whether you are facing anxiety, trauma, caregiver stress, or major life transitions, you do not have to navigate this alone. Let’s walk toward greater clarity and connection together.
My Background and Approach
As a proud Colombian with a bicultural background, I offer culturally responsive, affirming therapy in both English and Spanish. Drawing on my extensive experience as a school psychologist, I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, families, and neurodivergent individuals, helping navigate complex educational systems. Our work together is collaborative and shaped by your unique experiences. I take a trauma-sensitive approach, honoring how your past has shaped you while helping you discover that it does not have to define or limit your life. I integrate principles of mindfulness and positive psychology to help you build awareness and recognize your strengths to build on your natural capacity for growth and healing. I also incorporate somatic techniques, recognizing that our bodies often carry experiences and emotions that words alone cannot fully express. My intention is to create a compassionate, supportive space where you can explore challenges, deepening self-understanding.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that each person exists in a constant state of synergy — within themselves and in connection with the greater whole (i.e. nature, culture, work, school, community). When one-part feels disconnected, the entire self can feel out of balance. My work focuses on restoring that natural integration so healing can occur. I believe therapy is a space where you can slow down and feel truly seen and understood. I believe mental health is deeply interconnected with our thoughts, emotions, bodies, and communities. Recognizing that disconnection can leave us feeling stuck, I use a trauma-sensitive, integrative approach combining mindfulness, positive psychology, and somatic techniques to help you integrate all parts of who you are.
