About My Clients

Making decisions can be stressful and overwhelming. What matters for one person might not be true for another. You are your greatest resource. Through gentle curiosity and reflective conversation, I help individuals and families build trust in their capacity to make important life choices. I specialize in work with individuals and families during pregnancy and postpartum. I bring expertise in parenting and child development to help you become your child's first and most important teacher!

My Background and Approach

For over 20 years I have been supporting adults, adolescents, children and families in therapy. I graduated in 2001 with a Master’s in Social Work from Smith College in Northampton, MA and have been a practicing therapist in California ever since. I have worked in a variety of settings such as schools, community outpatient clinics and homes. Working in diverse settings, I have had the honor of standing in support of people during some of their most challenging times. I have assisted individuals and families through life transitions, pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, medical and physical illness, work and school difficulties, grief and loss, poverty, trauma, systemic racism, and other forms of systemic oppression.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Ultimately, therapy should bring more hope and joy into your life. The world can be messy, so therapy should bring balance and clarity. I have a strong commitment to creating a safe space for self exploration. I believe every person can use an advocate in this fast-paced, complex world. Someone who believes in them, encourages them and celebrates them. I believe in amplifying the voices of marginalized folks. I have worked and continue to work hard so that access to basic and essential services such as health care are accessible to all. I volunteer with the NAMI hotline providing support and connection for people living with mental illness when they need it most.
