About My Clients
I work with adolescents, adults, families, educators, caregivers, and seniors who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, stress, life transitions, parenting challenges, relationship concerns, or caregiver burnout. I have a special passion for supporting families of children with special needs and those navigating school-related challenges. Christian counseling is available for clients who wish to incorporate their faith into therapy.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Sharon Good, LPC-S, I provide compassionate, evidence-based counseling tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. My background includes serving as an elementary school counselor, working with adolescents and families, and more than a decade in special education, giving me a deep understanding of anxiety, behavioral challenges, parenting, school-related concerns, and the unique needs of individuals and families affected by disabilities. I work from a person-centered, strengths-based approach while incorporating evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness strategies when appropriate. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to develop practical skills, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and create lasting positive change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person has inherent worth and deserves to be treated with compassion, dignity, and respect. My faith in God and Christian values guide how I strive to live and serve others, emphasizing hope, grace, honesty, and kindness. Family, friendships, and meaningful relationships are deeply important to me, and I understand the vital role they play in our emotional well-being. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, beliefs, and walks of life, and I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. For clients who desire it, I am happy to integrate Christian faith and biblical principles into the counseling process in a way that supports their personal goals and values.
