I explore with queer folx a number of different areas from issues around coming out, questions around sexual identity and expression, finding community, dating, gender expression and gender identity and internalized homophobia and internalized transphobia. I have a special interest in working with those living in rural environments and the unique experience this brings when being LGBTQIA

My graduate program and experience has been in the application of a strengths based, recovery oriented humanistic view of humans that emphasizes human potential, encouraging learning and growth, and fosters the identification and utilization of a persons natural strengths in facing issues in life.

I utilize family systems lens to explore relationship patterns, FOO challenges, and as a starting point in having conversations around other systems that people who see me interact with.

I use ACT as a way to help others learn about themselves, their minds, and how they want to live their life. It's a flexible, process oriented therapy that doesn't pathologize people for facing difficulties, but also helps people get clear on what matters to them and how to live a rich and full life.
