About My Clients
Many of my clients are teens and adult women navigating anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, family conflict, grief, and life transitions. Many feel stuck in patterns of overgiving, self-doubt, or disconnection from themselves, especially in a world that feels overwhelming. My clients come from diverse backgrounds and through a culturally sensitive approach, I support clients in making sense of trauma responses, building self-compassion, and creating lives that feel more grounded and authentic.
My Background and Approach
My work is trauma-informed, IFS-informed, feminist, compassion-focused, and integrative. Rather than offering quick fixes, we will work together to understand the protective patterns that once helped you survive but may now feel limiting. Together, we can explore anxiety, mood shifts, family dynamics, identity, and the broader systems shaping your experiences. I view symptoms as meaningful responses rather than personal failures or something to shame. I believe healing happens in a supportive, trusting relationship, so I prioritize creating a space where you feel safe, understood, and respected. I offer both virtual and in-person therapy and meet you where you are at in your journey - whether you’re navigating trauma, grief about the state of the world, or a major life transition.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should honor the full context of your life — including culture, identity, community, and systemic and intergenerational stress. My work is grounded in anti-oppressive and feminist values, and I am committed to ongoing reflection around decolonizing therapy and examining how systems like colonialism and capitalism impact mental health. I strive to practice with cultural humility and accountability. I believe many struggles make sense in the environments people have had to survive and I believe you are the expert of your life and journey. My job is not to 'fix' whatever is going on, but rather provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore what you want to be different and how that aligns with where and who you want to be.
