About My Clients
Much of my experience is working with people with eating disorders. This is often paired with body image, identity related issues, and trauma. I am also passionate about working with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and relationship issues.
My Background and Approach
I have experience in working with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), and Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED). Previously I worked at Eating Recovery Center as a Primary Therapist on a multi-disciplinary team where I learned and trained in the treatment of eating disorders for children and adults both in residential and partial-outpatient settings. I use a Health at Every Size (HAES) approach which means I believe in body neutrality and body celebration for all body types and sizes. I use Narrative Therapy to help clients see the power of their own story and allow me into that narrative to help redefine the messier or more broken parts. I truly believe that clients know the depth of their own story and my role as the therapist is to offer new perspectives for different outcomes. I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients pinpoint what they value most about
