About My Clients
I work best with adults struggling with relationship issues, anxiety, life transitions, stress management, and more. I look to help clients process their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, create a deeper awareness and understanding of themselves, and ultimately develop self-compassion, relief from symptoms, and positive change. I work collaboratively with clients to identify both positive and negative patterns or areas for potential growth in their lives, create goals for themselves & heal.
My Background and Approach
My approach includes psychodynamic, CBT/DBT, and mindfulness and relaxation skills. I aim to work with the mind, body, and nervous system to create healing that addresses both the past and present. I am IFS-informed and incorporate aspects of Internal Family Systems (parts work/inner child work) into my practice. I am also informed in Hypnotherapy, specifically Age Regression for the healing of childhood trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I aim to create a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients and provide a safe space.I acknowledge that the idea of starting therapy can be challenging, however, this is the first step towards growth and healing. Years of personally sitting in the client's chair, have deepened my understanding and empathy, and added to my effectiveness as a therapist. My graduate program embodied an emphasis on social justice and I work through that lens as a therapist. I am supportive of LGBTQ+ individuals, BIPOC communities, first generation Americans, women, sex workers, and neurodivergent individuals.
