About My Clients
I use a holistic perspective to work with clients experiencing trauma, loss, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, chronic pain or illness, and other challenging situations. I create a safe space for women, trans, non-binary, and the LGBTQ+ community. I help overwhelmed clients to feel seen and heard, allowing them to relax and explore their own strengths and resilience. I help empower clients with assertiveness skills as well as using their own unique talents to create solutions to problems.
My Background and Approach
I strive to create a safe and non-judgemental atmosphere where clients can feel comfortable in their own being, and open up at their own pace. I use a multicultural feminist perspective, and post modern talk therapies such as CBT, narrative therapy and solutions focused breif therapy. I also use hypnotherapy and guided meditation when appropriate. I may incorporate somatic exploration, expressive arts therapy, and breathwork and mindfulness into sessions for a full mind-body approach. Hypnotherapy is a state of deep relaxation similar to guided meditation. There is usually a focused purpose to hypnosis, such as treating a phobia or habit, or reducing depression and anxiety symptoms.
