About My Clients
Are you someone who doesn’t give yourself full permission for pleasure, creativity, and solitude and has fallen out of alignment with what your hearts want? A mom who is full of so much love and good intention, but is also really, really, really tired, burnt-out, and stressed? Are you seeking shift and are motivated to take action, take charge of your life, kick fear in the face and break free from old patterns? Walk with me to rediscover your heart and purpose, to live more fully and thrive.
My Background and Approach
I assist my clients in developing confidence and compassion for them selves while they are navigating new roles in life (college student, graduate, entrepreneur, wife, pregnancy and motherhood). Using holistic psychotherapy, I look to the elements in life that may be out of balance (physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, vocational, financial, and environmental). Once identified, we explore ways to reclaim balance by incorporating solution focused therapies, CBT, and mindfulness. We CAN quiet the alarm bells of anxiety in our bodies and heal. We will discuss your fears and anxieties and explore where those feelings take up space in your body. I will teach you how to bring awareness to your body, so we can recognize where big feelings land, accept them without judgement, and release them. I will introduce thought provoking and heart opening tools during session that you can take with you to help create healthy habits and peace in your daily life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all have kindling within us that is begging to be ignited. We were placed in this Earth to create change, live fully and be seen. Sometimes, though, life can feel overwhelming and scary. We lose sight of our passion merely as a way to survive. This is something I know from experience. I am someone who struggles with transition and perfectionsim often overtakes me. I regularly have to put in the work, using the tools I share with my clients, to quiet the need to be "the best". In college, I lived in a state of anxiety. Shortness of breath, hypervigalance, irritability, and self-doubt are just a few of the feelings I experienced on a daily basis. When I became a mama, these feelings resurfaced and multiplied. I felt guilty. I felt like a failure. I fought hard for relief from those feelings. I will fight hard with you for your relief, too. We have the ability to push through the overwhelm. We can quiet the mom guilt. We can come home to our hearts.
