Grief is the normal reaction to loss; whether it be a job, home, pet, relationship, or loved one. Each person’s grief is unique and deserves to be acknowledged and supported. Grief can feel like you're stuck in time and unable to move forward in your life. It can completely change your identity and values. I find great purpose in helping individuals who are going through the most painful parts of the human experience and hope to help you find healing and meaning in your own life again.
My Background and Approach
I have extensive background in working with individuals and families who experienced grief and loss through my time as a bereavement counselor in a Hospice program. Additionally, I have gained specific knowledge regarding traumatic grief in my role as a Youth Program Manager for a community mental health organization that provides counseling and support services to those who've experienced a loss to homicide. I utilize several modalities in my practice and mostly utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, EMDR, and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
