About My Clients
If you have been struggling lately with uncertainty to find contentment and satisfaction in a chaotic world, or carrying the burdens of the past that cause challenging barriers in several areas of your life, you are not alone. I help adult individuals increase mental and emotional well being by addressing presenting issues such as depressive moods, anxiousness, worry, stress, interpersonal conflicts, challenging life transitions, and past trauma that is causing present day obstacles.
My Background and Approach
I am a relational therapist who blends mindfulness, ACT, Polyvagal Theory, and IFS (informed) modalities. Every client I work with has unique issues that call for integrating an approach to meet those needs. I value the process of walking alongside you to support you where your at and help with immediate crisis, stabilization, and coping, as well as help you to understand your sense of self and well-being to regain control over the root cause of your presenting issues that brought you to therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are innate for connection and a sense of belonging. When we attach to the wants and expectations that come from a place of needing a sense of control, we suffer tremendously in our lives. I believe we carry the burdens of our past that cause unresolved wounds to show up as challenging barriers in several areas of our lives. Until we are able to recognize the parts of ourselves that carry this weight, it's difficult to truly find deep satisfaction in living a meaningful life. I believe living in a state of higher awareness and being mindfully present can relieve emotional attachments that aren't serving our best needs. Learning how to get in touch with your body's nervous system and finding an anchor in the wake of an internal storm will give you a sense of control to take back your life.
