Samantha Stuber (she/her)

I worked at a womxn-led, womxn-focused addiction treatment center. Throughout my time there, I worked with a variety of substance use challenges & presentations. I led group therapy, case management, and individual therapy with my clients. I combine this experience with the addiction-specific education I received to become a Licensed-addiction Counselor to provide my clients with well-rounded substance use & addiction care.

My graduate program included a specialization in Transpersonal Psychology, which was deeply infused throughout. My coursework focused on Gestalt Therapy, Feminist/Social Justice Therapy, Psychedelic-assisted Therapy, Client-centered Therapy, Mindfulness-based Therapy, Meditation, and more. My approach to therapy is a culmination of these teachings, which empowers me to tailor my methods & treatments to each of my clients' individual needs.

Not only has much of my educational & clinical experience incorporated IFS, but my personal therapy has as well. Having experienced the power of this technique myself inspires me to guide clients toward the same. I believe IFS (also known as "parts work") values & honors the multiplicity of ourselves and the various ways in which we show up in the world. IFS invites us to create space for all of our parts so that we can incorporate them into a more full, healthy, and integrated Self.

Much of my clinical experience has been womxn focused. The ways in which women show up in the world, how they are perceived in society, and the challenges that they face are unique. Through our work together, we will explore your unique experiences, the ways they have impacted you, and how you would like to integrate them into your life moving forward.

My experience as a yoga & mindfulness teacher provides me with a plethora of tools to help my clients. A primary goal of mine is to help my clients build an expansive toolkit that allows them to take more control of their anxiety & how it impacts their daily life. Through parts work (IFS), mindfulness, movement, and boundary setting, my clients tend to see noticeable changes.

A main component of IFS is to create a stronger sense of Self. By exploring the stories & beliefs we were shown throughout our lives, we can examine those that we would like to keep, and those that no longer serve you. Through our work together, we will strengthen your connection to yourself, allowing you to show up more authentically & fully in your life.
