My Background and Approach
As a counselor trained in marriage and family therapy, I see the world as a set of systems and your life as an array of puzzle pieces. I consider all things unique to you- your experiences, relationships, values, hopes, goals, fears, and strengths as parts of your puzzle that make up who you are. Whether you are seeking individual support to reduce anxiety and feel more comfortable in your identity, or seeking support as a couple to create a healthier relationship, we will create a plan that is unique to your needs to help you reach your goals. I employ a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and family systems therapy to help you learn more about yourself, express the silenced parts of you, and engage more positively in your relationships.
