About My Clients
Do you ever feel exhausted from the mental chatter going on inside your head? Do you feel exhausted from the opinions of others? Does this lead you to a state of worry, stress, and frustration that feels never ending? There is hope and freedom from this mental state. I work with individuals and couples to discover a state of peace and contentment within themselves and their relationships. I empower you to take back your joy, explore self-love, and mindfully grow.
My Background and Approach
I am a limited license professional counselor with my master's in clinical mental health counseling. I am also a certified yoga teacher. I take a person-centered, humanistic approach to counseling. Everyone is uniquely different so I cater to each individual's needs, desires, and goals. I pull from family systems as I find that where we come from provides insight into who we are today. I utilize mindfulness-based strategies in order to implement coping skills as well as facilitating joy, peace, and contentment back into one's life. If appropriate for the client, I offer trauma-focused counseling and teach grounding and somatic techniques in order to help one feel safe again in the world.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that each individual's story is unique and that we all deserve a space to feel heard, understood, and seen without bias or judgement. I believe there is healing in feeling and being fully present with one's self. I like to take a holistic approach to counseling - incorporating mind, body, and soul.
