About My Clients
I enjoy working with clients who are curious about their thoughts, feelings, and perceptions, and are excited to take what’s explored in therapy into the outside world. I typically work with young adults who are curious about their mental health and how their life experiences have impacted them. Most of the individuals I work with struggle with ADHD, anxiety, and trauma.
My Background and Approach
I take a holistic and trauma-informed approach to therapy, focusing on the mind, body, and spirit. I also incorporate somatic therapy and psychoeducation in my practice. I believe the more knowledge someone has, the more confident and hopeful they become in their own healing journey. I am trained in a variety of evidence-based techniques and treatments to help clients discover a deeper understanding of themselves, strengthen self-esteem, and build resiliency.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’ve always had a passion for psychology and mental health; the mind and body connection is so fascinating. There is so much knowledge and research out there that build hope for healing. I've mostly worked in intensive therapy settings, which has allowed me to gain a wide range of knowledge and training. Having experiences with mental health in my personal life also extends the passion I have for it. I believe my passion for mental health, my knowledge of psychology, and my authentic personality create a positive environment for clients to feel safe to open up. Therapy can be tough but working with me feels supportive, welcoming, and hopeful. My kind, caring, and cheerful personality allows clients to feel safe, validated, and heard. My intention is to build a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship through nonjudgmental, empathetic support in order to create a safe space to explore what’s inside.
