Hello! I look forward to meeting you and sharing combined approach of traditional talk therapy and Art Therapy to help you reach your goals
Art Therapist in Appleton, WI
I am a survivor of non hodgkins lymphoma, if you are in need of processing an experience of a loved one or your own journey i can help with that.
Growing up i was " a sick child" leading up to a cancer diagnoses. i know the feeling of being missunderstood when people in our lives dont understand the " hidden illness" of pain, fatigue and constant illness. together we can help find coping skills and help you find a positive outlet to express yourself and process the pain and illness.
Having Sensory disorders or being emotionally sensitive is often highly miss understood. I am very patient and understanding when working with these type of symptoms and have found the art to be a helpful way in working with sensitivities of any kind if one is open to it.
I truly believe that we all have a story to tell, and sometimes a chapter is difficult to get through alone. Together we can help create your next chapter!
Are you ready to make change but need someone to help coach you along? I can help you solidify those goals and motivate you to move forward! We can discuss your challenges, strengths and weaknesses to find out the best path for you!
Using creative materials in session can help decrease physical stress and emotional stress while discussing topics that may be difficult. This may look different during COVID 19 , but we will find a way that works for you! Art Therapy can help you find a new language to express your concerns and communicate your feelings and needs.
Adjusting to change of any level can be a process. We all handle change differently, some are more expressive in their feelings and others hold it in. I can help you process change in a safe environment and understand the confusing feelings that may be involved, or sort through solutions to determine better understanding of the situation . I can also listen, and provide you a place to vent, and validation that your feelings are appropriate.
