About My Clients
I work with children, teens, and adults who are dealing with things like anxiety, ADHD, neurodivergence, stress, emotional regulation, relationships, family concerns, school, self-esteem, and life changes. I also work with couples and families. My goal is to understand what’s going on from your perspective and work together on what would be most helpful for you, at your pace.
My Background and Approach
I’m currently completing my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and practice as a therapist in training under the supervision of a licensed professional. My experience includes working with children, teens, and adults, including children ages 3+ through ABA-based work focused on skill-building and emotional regulation. My approach is person-centered and attachment-focused. I’m interested in how our relationships and experiences shape the way we understand ourselves, communicate, and respond to challenges. I also use experiential and creative approaches when they are helpful. With children, this may include play, art, games, movement, or other activities that make it easier to explore emotions and build skills. With teens and adults, therapy may include conversation, reflection, practical strategies, and exploring patterns in relationships or daily life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a therapist because I’ve always found meaning in helping and supporting people. I’m naturally curious about patterns and what shapes us, and I believe people are capable of growth and insight. Our experiences, especially in childhood, can stay with us in ways we don’t always recognize, and I think understanding those connections can be an important part of therapy. I want people to feel comfortable being themselves in therapy, regardless of their background or identity. I also wish more people knew that therapy doesn’t have to be scary. I used to believe my feelings were so intense that something was seriously wrong with me. I wish I had known sooner that therapy could be a tool for understanding and working through those feelings. Outside of therapy, I enjoy planting, finding new hobbies, and spending time with family and friends.
